Artisanal vegan "cheeze" comes to K11 Musea

Le Fromage by Ma has opened doors in K11 Musea, bringing Hong Kong its first artisanal vegan "cheeze" shop.

As the past year has led to increased interest in vegan, environmentally friendly and health-conscious products, Hongkongers seeking an alternative to dairy have a new plant-based option when it comes to snacking.

The shop is the brainchild of Tina Barrat, a Hong Kong-based French jewellery designer who makes the "cheeze" from simple, natural ingredients with no animal products. Among the "healthy cruelty-free indulgence" options at the store include truffle-flavoured "Shamembert", pink peppercorn studded "Brie" and "North Pole Star" â€” a gorgonzola-influenced offering.

In addition to the cheezes, the shop also offers other vegan alternatives including "Sans Salmon", "Chiaviar" and "Faux-Gras" to round out the selection.
