KFC Malaysia has appointed three agencies to realise its brand transformation journey. VMLY&R has been named the brand agency to oversee KFC's brand positioning and the major brand campaigns. Naga DDB Tribal has been reappointed as the core agency that will drive new growth for business and Reprise Digital remains the social media agency.

CMO Chan May Ling said that through the pitch process, KFC had the privilege of having the most creative minds and brightest talents sharing their visions for the brand, and we saw the best work manifested into core creative concepts.

"With these appointments, I am convinced KFC Malaysia will be brought to greater heights as a brand. We hope to achieve great work that showcases the brand’s distinctive assets whilst remaining relevant to the ever-changing trends and consumer needs,” she added.

Separately, KFC Malaysia's parent company QSR Brands appointed dentsu Malaysia to help KFC and Pizza Hut become a true data-first organisation following a digital transformation pitch. The agency is also responsible for future-proofing business verticals across marketing, operations, and supply chain. The pitch has been running since last year and the appointment runs until 2023.

For the next 18 months, dentsu will be working with the marketing, data and business teams of KFC and Pizza Hut in unlocking the real consumer value with the use of media tech, data and marketing technology.
