KFC Singapore has rolled out its Parmesan truffle chicken islandwide, offering a unique take on a "deliciously untraditional" reunion meal for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. In a statement to Marketing, a KFC spokesperson said truffle flavoured dishes have been gaining favour with Singaporeans. mainly the younger consumers. The brand was inspired by the "hipster" cafe menu which serve truffle fries or truffle flavoured pasta dishes, compared to fast food restaurants which do not. The spokesperson said KFC noted on the differences and decided to experiment pairing fried chicken with truffle flavour together with parmesan cheese. After many rounds of experimentation, the brand was able to present the new dish. KFC aims to give Singaporeans "something different, something premium", as well as "delicious" for all to share this Chinese New Year.  "We hope to see KFC chicken on every table this Chinese New Year," she added. The spokesperson said that other than social and digital channels, this campaign will be supported with integrated media buy across various traditional channels. This includes Mediacorp stations, Starhub stations, YES933 radio, outdoor Clear channel posters and on cinema.  To generate more "hype and excitement", KFC has partnered with Mediacorp to create special ad content which will be played across the mainstream channels and on its platforms. "Apart from sales and profit ROIs, we hope to receive more guests through our doors and leave them with the positive feeling of having made a great meal choice this Chinese New year," the spokesperson added.
