J. Walter Thompson (JWT) Company Indonesia has launched Verve, its full service PR and influence offering. This is in a bid to further strengthen its capabilities, which currently comprises both J. Walter Thompson and Mirum.
Following the move, the agency has appointed Harry Deje (pictured) as managing director of Verve. He reports to J. Walter Thompson Company Indonesia group CEO, Marianne Admardatine.
Deje brings his more than 20 years of well-rounded experience from both client’s and agency’s side of the business, covering different sets of communication channels, ranging from PR, digital, ATL and BTL experiences. He was most recently business director at Edelman Brands Indonesia, and has also held tenures at Burson-Marstellar Indonesia and McCann Digital Indonesia, according to his LinkedIn.
Verve Indonesia’s establishment was made to meet growing client demand in the market, and follows a successful integration in the Thailand market with J. Walter Thompson Bangkok, the statement added. Admardatine explained that Verve was introduced to assist clients in crafting strong stories for them and influence the stakeholders and create that credibility only able to be gained through public relations.
“As part of JWT Company’s transformation and in the spirit of collaboration within the group, we complete our holistic service offerings by introducing Verve to the industry. This is a milestone for JWT Company in Indonesia, to have a PR arm for the very first time since its establishment in the country,” she added.
“I’m highly excited about this new role and honored to have been entrusted as the first lead for Verve Jakarta. I do hope we can fuel our growth as partners to our siblings within the JWT Company here in Indonesia,” comments Deje.
