IPG agencies join forces, Getty gets onto Twitter

Government bodies on agency huntThe People's Association has put up a tender, in a bid to appoint an agency for a year-long advertising and media campaign. The campaign is for this year's SHINE Youth Festival 2013 and the Singapore Youth Award 2013, with an option to extend the contract period to 2014.Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore is also looking for a media agency to place recruitment advertisements in local paper The Straits Times for the month of February.IPG launches global campaignUniversal McCann, Initiative and BPN have partnered up to roll out a global ad campaign for Free The Children, an international charity organisation. Running from 26 December 2012 to 31 January, the campaign titled "Give.Go" encourages people to "give" to the organisation's overseas projects and to "go" volunteer their services. Launched in five continents and on all screens, the campaign allows the IPG Mediabrands agencies to link up with media owners and encourage donations of advertising space throughout the course of the campaign.Getty to feed images in real-timeGetty Images has rolled out The Feed by Getty Images, an application to showcase its images on social media. Using its Connect API network, the digital content provider leverages Twitter's API to connect its pictures collection to trending topics on Twitter. On its Facebook profile, The Feed will show updated coverage of current events, sports and entertainment on its timeline. Getty has also set up a @FeedMeGetty account on Twitter, using the application to tweet trending images hourly and respond to content queries in real-time. On its website, Getty will also leverage The Feed to put up images relating to global and regional trending topics.
