InfiniVAN, UP launch LikásGPT, AI-powered CRM built for PH's many languages

In a country where over 180 regional languages often complicate even the simplest customer interaction, many AI tools fall short. But a new AI-powered CRM called LikásGPT, launched by telecommunications company InfiniVAN in partnership with the University of the Philippines' National Engineering Centre, aims to change that - making it possible for businesses to talk to Filipinos in the languages they actually use.
Unveiled through a ceremonial MOA signing and press conference on 29 July 2025 at the UP National Engineering Centre in Diliman, LikásGPT is being pitched as more than just another tech tool. It’s a cultural bridge - and a business asset.
“Helping customers in the Philippines can be challenging because of the many languages and dialects,” said Koji Miyashita (pictured, second from right), chairman of InfiniVAN, at the launch event. “With LikásGPT, we want to make sure every Filipino feels truly heard - wherever they are and however they speak.”

Giving voice to the multilingual majority
The Philippine linguistic landscape is famously complex, with Filipino and English functioning as official languages alongside dozens of widely spoken regional tongues - Cebuano, Ilocano, Waray, to name a few. For businesses, this has meant high barriers to delivering responsive and localised customer care, especially in underserved areas.
LikásGPT aims to address this gap. Built on advanced Large Language Model (LLM) architecture, it supports communication across 12 local languages - designed to reach more than 90% of the national population. But it doesn’t stop at translation.
The platform integrates with existing CRM tools and handles multi-channel interactions - chat, SMS, social media, and email - with natural, context-aware responses. More than a chatbot, LikásGPT processes sentiment, analyses feedback, and generates insights that companies can use to refine products, improve service design, and even shape market strategy.
Building business value through empathy and precision
For Philippine businesses, the stakes are high. As customers grow more demanding and digitally savvy, the ability to respond quickly and meaningfully becomes critical. LikásGPT allows companies to cut response times, reduce language friction, and elevate trust - all while unlocking valuable data streams.
This, said InfiniVAN, is part of a broader shift: from infrastructure provider to digital enabler.
The development of LikásGPT is being led by Eugene Rex L. Jalao, a UP professor with over 15 years’ experience in AI, analytics, and industrial engineering. For Jalao, the project is about creating solutions grounded in social responsibility and regional diversity.
Among others in attendance were Naobumi Yokota, minister for economic affairs at the Embassy of Japan, and Mary Ann Raganit of the department of trade and industry’s board of investments.
With an MVP slated for release in December 2025, LikásGPT is positioning itself not only as a product for enterprises, but as a movement - one that merges AI capability with cultural preservation, business competitiveness, and national inclusion.
