Havas Market, Havas Media’s full-service eCommerce arm, has appointed Shermaine Lau (pictured) as its new eCommerce head for Singapore. The appointment comes as Havas Market seeks to enhance its focus on delivering meaningful shopping experiences for brands, emphasising end-to-end omnichannel solutions.
Under Lau’s leadership, Havas Market says it will aim to streamline operations, maximise resources, and deliver value to brands across all business segments. This will be centered around three key pillars – omnichannel activations, conversion-focused approach, and building loyal shopper communities.

Prior to this appointment, Lau held the role of director of digital insights and innovation at data and artificial intelligence company, ADA. In this role, she spearheaded the development of the firm’s Digital Shelf, a proprietary eCommerce analytics solution that empowers brands in the online marketplace. Before taking on that role, she also held client-facing roles in the organisation, such as head of client engagement from end-2020 to 2021, regional client manager in 2020, and key account manager from 2019 to 2020.
“With Lau’s extensive experience, I'm confident that we will not only empower our clients to navigate the dynamic omnichannel retail and media landscape but also venture into new frontiers of commerce, unlocking greater market potential together,” said Deanson Lee, head of digital at Havas Media Network Singapore.
"In today's retail landscape, brands must go beyond product sales – they need to connect meaningfully with shoppers," said Lau. "Our AI-powered omnichannel solutions enable brands to efficiently create great shopping experiences, fostering customer loyalty and driving sustainable business growth,” she added.
The appointment comes shortly after Havas Media Network Singapore launched Havas Play in the country in October 2023. As the company strengthens its functions in Singapore, Havas Play Singapore was launched to capture consumer attention and drive business impact locally. It aims to leverage the capabilities of the network as well as Vivendi, a global media and entertainment company.
The launch was placed under the leadership of Kenny Yap, who was also the existing managing director of Socialyse and Red Havas. Yap will lead and drive the growth of the new integrated solutions in Singapore.
