GO Communications gains AXXESS to propel insurance benefits brand forward

Insurance benefits provider AXXESS has appointed GO Communications to manage its full spectrum of traditional and digital public relations and communications initiatives to promote the brand. The length of appointment is one year.

In addition to running traditional public relations and communications campaigns and initiatives, the agency is also tasked with managing and executing a varied scope of digital and social media initiatives, including content planning and creation, the development and management of AXXESS’ social media channels (including Facebook and Instagram), as well as digital and social media advertising.

Richard Devaraj, CEO of AXXESS, said: â€œGO Communications possesses the right experience, knowledge and expertise, coupled with an impressive track record of helping businesses to grow and thrive, especially during turbulent times. Using innovative tactical approaches to public relations and communications, we are confident we have made the right business move." He added that AXXESS sees GO Communications not as just an agency, but also a strategic business partner to help grow the brand.

The appointment comes as AXXESS recently rolled out its dedicated COVID-19 insurance plan. The plan, which is available to all Malaysians aged one month to 65 years offers policy holders a payout of RM2,000, should they be diagnosed with COVID-19 and hospitalised. This was launched as AXXESS finds the recent spate of COVID-19 infections in Malaysia "truly concerning". Besides the COVID-19 plan, AXXESS also recently introduced its personal accident protection plan, AXXESS Lifeline. It is also working with GO Communications to roll out more multifaceted products and services, as well as strengthen its brand’s positioning in the country.

Peter de Kretser (pictured), CEO of GO Communications, added the agency has already deliberated on forging synergies and partnerships in the business community, while leveraging on public relations and digital to effectively position AXXESS as an industry leader in Malaysia. â€œWorking within a creative environment, it is truly refreshing to come across a company that shares similar values such as AXXESS, who we predict will, in due time, prove themselves to be a force to be reckoned with as an alternative insurance benefits provider in Malaysia," he added.

AXXESS comes on the back of multiple wins for GO Communications this year. The agency has also recently been appointed by GoPro to manage its PR and communications initiatives in Malaysia until 2021, following a pitch held in September. It has already promoted some of its newest products and initiatives, including the launch of the newly-introduced GoPro HERO9Black.

GO Communications also won over ASICS, who appointed the agency as its official PR and communications agency in Malaysia. This was after a pitch held from March to April 2020. GO Communications is supporting ASICS’ marketing and communications initiatives, which include the brand’s Autumn/Winter ‘20 lineup, as well as championing ASICS brand presence in the country across its Core Performance Sports, Performance Running and Sportstyle categories.
