Joe Braithwaite (pictured), general manager BBDO Singapore, will be transferred within the network to Proximity London, as the managing director. In the meantime Richard Fraser, president BBDO Southeast Asia, will assume management responsibilities for the Singapore office.
According to the agency, a replacement announcement will be made at a later date.
During his eight years at BBDO Singapore, Braithwaite made a significant impact on the business, managed key clients including Fonterra, Diageo and Visa across Asia Pacific and moved effectively between client and office management.
“I hired Braithwaite several years ago and he has over-delivered on the promise he first showed when joining us. He has been an integral part of building Singapore agency’s reputation and business, and has navigated an impressive journey to the position he is in today,” said Jean-Paul Burge, chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia
He explained that Braithwaite move to London is a part of the company’s effort in providing opportunities to move within the global network.
“As every Singaporean knows, eight is a lucky number, and my eight years with BBDO Singapore really proves that. I’ve had the chance to work with the most inspirational people, partner with some phenomenal brands and create work that really makes a difference. I’m exceptionally grateful to the BBDO network, management team and last but not least the people, for making my time in Asia a truly unforgettable experience,” said Braithwaite.
