FTI Consulting has appointed Seulah Han (pictured) as senior director to its strategic communications segment in Hong Kong, which designs and executes communications strategies for clients managing financial, regulatory and reputational challenges. In her new role, Han will be based in Hong Kong to lead the strategic communications segment’s channel strategy to enhance collaborations with key partners and offer holistic communications solutions to businesses and organisations across Asia, in addition to spearheading the expansion of the firm’s global offerings to South Korean multinational companies.
Han specialises in strategic, integrated communications, including landscape audit and analysis, narrative design, stakeholder engagement and media relations, with a focus on corporate reputation and crisis management. Han advises clients on business insights and implications; corporate positioning and branding; market expansion and penetration strategies; media and platforms including social channel launches, risk and crisis navigation including government investigations, boycotts, class actions, labour issues and recalls; business recovery; internal and change communications; advocacy and government relations.
As the global and Asia Pacific regional communications lead to many of her clients, Han helps businesses accelerate and protect in-market growth and globalise operations and reputations in a sustainable manner. She has worked with a range of companies and private, public and nonprofit organisations in manufacturing, technology, automotive, defense, hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods, F&B, finance and government ministries and agencies.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Han was at FleishmanHillard in South Korea and Hong Kong. She most recently led the firm’s Hong Kong corporate communications practice as senior vice president. In her role, she advised global and Asian clients in private and public sectors on strategic planning, brand positioning, change communications and business-critical crises. Previously, she worked at Edelman Korea and L3 Advertising in New York.
"Her extensive expertise and on-the-ground experience supporting multinationals as they navigate their most pressing challenges is a valuable addition to our investment in the Asia market and the region. Han will add tremendous value in driving the development of our global inter-disciplinary communications counsel to South Korean companies that are faced with various opportunities and challenges across industries and geographies as they respond to international dynamics. We are thrilled to have her join our growing team," said Joanne Wong, North Asia segment leader of the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting.
