Former Y&R client services director Kea Sui Hong heads to KPMG

KPMG Singapore has appointed Kea Sui Hong (pictured) as director, branding and marketing in the clients and markets team.Confirming the move to Marketing, Irving Low, partner and head of clients and markets at KPMG in Singapore, said that Kea’s role involves collaborating with business teams all across the firm in developing marketing strategies for the firm’s key sectors and growth areas.“Working closely with me, he will also explore new ways for the firm to brand itself and becoming the clear choice of companies seeking professional services in support of their business objectives,” Low added.Prior to the appointment, Kea was a client services director at Y&R Singapore, a role he held for around a decade before his departure. According to his LinkedIn, during his time in Y&R, Kea took on the lead role in strategy planning, account management and driving new business initiatives for the organisation. He was also part of the team that helped transform the digital capabilities of Y&R Singapore and government-related businesses.He was involved in business wins such as SilkAir, Jaguar Land Rover, TAFEP, Workforce Development Agency and more. Other clients he has worked with include Singapore Tourism Board, M1, Republic of Singapore Navy, Ministry of Manpower, Problem Gambling and Singapore Prison Services. Before Y&R, Kea was an account associate director at M&C Saatchi was an account manager at Y&R prior to that.Meanwhile, Y&R Singapore confirmed to Marketing in July that it was undergoing a restructure in its organisation. At the time, Y&R Singapore CEO Shirley Tay confirmed the restructure, but did not share further on what it would entail. Marketing understood at the time that some senior level exits during this period included Kea and regional creative director Bruce Watt, both of whom have been with the company since 2007, according to their LinkedIn pages.
