Luxury fashion brand Bally has named South Korean singer Lee Seokmin as its new global ambassador, according to the brand in a statement on Instagram. Lee, who is also known as DK on stage, is part of the popular pop group SEVENTEEN which is made up of 13 members.
Lee was reportedly chosen by Bally because he is widely recognised for his casual elegance and global appeal as a singer.
The artist first appeared exclusively in Bally’s Fall/Winter 2023 show which happened in February this year and has maintained close relations with the brand ever since. According to media reports, Lee will also be starring in Bally’s Spring/Summer 2024 campaign and will participate in other global brand activations.
The South Korean singer took to his personal page to share images from the new Bally campaign. These included a teaser video of the singer modelling some of the clothes from the new collection.
South Korean stars have been a hot favourite for fashion brands this year and many have been appointed to front global campaigns in recent weeks. Lifestyle sports brand FILA named South Korean actress Han So-Hee as its newest global brand ambassador this week, according to a statement by the brand.
Han kicked off her work with the team with a global F-Box Anniversary campaign last week. In tandem, she also made appearances over global online and offline channels.
FILA said that it picked Han because she has been a fashion icon for this generation. It added that Han also aligns with the values of the brand, which has made the partnership one with great synergy.
