Facebook’s head of agency, Southeast Asia, Sulin Lau (pictured) has joined Grab as regional head of country marketing. Grab’s spokesperson confirmed her appointment to A+M but declined to comment on the specific markets Lau will be handling.
During her time with Facebook, Lau was responsible for helping agency partners grow their businesses, achieving results for clients and scaling education across the latest products and tools on Facebook and Instagram. A+M has reached out to Facebook for comment.
Prior to Facebook, she was the head of marketing services for Maxis for over three years, according to her LinkedIn. At Maxis, she oversaw brand strategy and transformation, digital and social strategy, go-to-market activation, customer insight and marketing partnerships.
Before that, Lau was the managing director at Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia for over a month, where she integrated digital, data analytics, social and e-commerce capabilities into Ogilvy’s core advertising offerings. Lau also worked at DiGi Telecommunications for more than four years as head, marketing services where she oversaw brand strategy and all go-to-market support functions. She was also previously at BBDO Worldwide and DDB Asia Pacific.
