Ex-GM of The Hoffman Agency in HK opens virtual agency in France

Former general manager of The Hoffman Agency in Hong Kong, Mark Sparrow, has opened a virtual agency in France, helping clients in both Europe and Asia to enter the markets in two continents.

The agency Eureka Box is a virtual brand communications agency focused on delivering campaigns internationally, bringing together senior communications, marketing and design consultants in European Union markets, such as Germany, France, Spain and Italy. The virtual teams of the agency will create campaigns on a project basis.

“We want to become the landing pad for midsize Asian tech brands in the European Union. The agility inherent in the model, and the experience of the personnel that forms our virtual teams, provide clients with exactly what they need when it comes to working internationally," Sparrow said.

Prior to his position in Hong Kong, Sparrow worked for over a decade in London, leading technology practices for agencies including Golin and Hotwire. Drawing on this experience, Eureka Box can offer difference services to two distinct sets of clients as it will help science and technology companies based in Asia to enter, educate and grow in markets across the European Union, while it will also offer European firms marketing support in Asia.

Registered in France, Eureka Box has secured its first batch of clients, including a global fintech firm and an IT services business.

Apart from the business, Sparrow has also explained the rationale behind the agency's branding.

"The name represents three pillars: our clients, people, and services. Eureka Box encapsulates the clients we work for and the magic they conjure with science and technology - devices, services and discoveries that improve lives and grow profits. Eureka Box is our people and their creativity. And it’s the powerful story at the heart of a successful campaign that motivates people to act," Sparrow said.

He further elaborated that the logo of Eureka Box builds further on these foundations. With its distinctive box-like characteristics, the Eureka Box logo is about space where extraordinary things happen.
