Dataxet has appointed Jason Lee (pictured) as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 November 2026, succeeding David Liu.

Lee co-founded Dataxet in 2019 and has served as its managing partner since then. In his new role, he will lead the media intelligence company as it looks to expand its AI-powered products and solutions. The appointment follows a planned succession process led by Dataxet's board.

Alongside his role at Dataxet, Lee served as chief executive of Truescope Singapore from 2020 to 2022.

Prior to Dataxet, Lee spent more than five years at media intelligence company Isentia, where he held several leadership positions. He joined as an account manager in 2014 before progressing through roles including account director, regional business director and general manager, eventually becoming regional director for Southeast Asia in 2018.

Under Lee's leadership, Dataxet will focus on developing AI-powered insight products and solutions aimed at helping clients make strategic decisions more quickly and anticipate emerging developments.

Meanwhile, Liu will remain on Dataxet's board and take on the role of strategy advisor, providing continuity during the leadership transition.

Liu has led Dataxet for the past six years, during which the company expanded its media intelligence network across Southeast Asia and recorded 40% organic revenue growth, according to the company. Dataxet added that its existing client and partner teams will remain in place following the transition.

“Leading Dataxet has been the privilege of my life,” said Liu. “We built something strong. Now the world is changing faster than ever, and Jason is the leader to seize that moment. I couldn't be more excited for what this team will do.”

In tandem, Lee said, “AI is rewriting how organisations understand their world, and Dataxet is built to lead that shift."

“We have the data, the expertise and the people. Now we're going to combine them with AI to give our clients insight that is faster, sharper and more predictive than anything they've had before. This is a brave new world, and we intend to shape it," he added.
