Cheil Indonesia has secured a new account with HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Indonesia, following a competitive pitch. The partnership will see Cheil Indonesia develop creative materials for Hyundai’s latest product launch and spearhead a digital revitalisation of the brand’s online platforms.

The creative campaign will showcase Hyundai’s newest excavator, the Hyundai R130F, through compelling visual storytelling designed to resonate with the brand’s audience.

Concurrently, the digital initiative aims to refresh Hyundai’s online presence, creating a more engaging and user-friendly experience for customers. Together, these projects are intended to strengthen Hyundai’s communication strategy and market positioning.

“Cheil Indonesia’s creative expertise and strategic approach make them the ideal partner to bring our vision to life. Their ingenuity and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our goals for this project,” said Chae Hee Bum, president director of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Indonesia.

“Securing the HD Hyundai Construction Equipment project is a proud moment for our team. It reflects our ability to adapt and deliver creative solutions for a diverse range of clients across industries. I’m grateful for the hard work and collaboration of our team, and for the trust our clients place in us to bring their vision to life,” added Joo Hwan Kim, CEO and president director of Cheil Indonesia.

This win adds to Cheil Indonesia’s track record of delivering integrated, client-focused solutions. By combining creative storytelling with digital innovation, the agency continues to drive marketing results across a diverse client portfolio.

With around 150 employees, Cheil Indonesia offers three core services: brand communications, experiential, and commerce. It creates connected experiences that matter by bridging marketing silos and integrating creativity, data, technology, and retail. The agency’s global network includes Cheil, Barbarian, BMB, Cheil Centrade, Cheil PengTai, ColourData, Experience Commerce, Iris, McKinney, One RX, and Social Beat.

Its most notable client is Samsung, for which it recently appointed Young Min Ha as head of retail for Samsung Mobile, a move designed to enhance shopper-focused and data-driven retail strategies in Indonesia’s rapidly evolving mobile and consumer tech sector.

Cheil Indonesia has also recently appointed Tiger Chang Hyun Kim as brand experience account director, entrusting him with leadership of the company’s brand experience team, and Jackie Jeong as director to lead retail and campaign initiatives.

In an interview with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, CEO Kim highlighted how the agency leverages its Korean heritage and local expertise to carve out a distinctive edge in Indonesia’s crowded marketing landscape. Projects such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 launch, which fused Bahasa Indonesia with Korean Hangul and local artistry, illustrate this approach.
