Canva Philippines has partnered with Filipino children’s book publisher Adarna House to bring its stories, characters and illustrations into Canva’s creative library, giving teachers, students and creators new ways to incorporate Filipino culture into their designs.
The partnership launches with the Adarna House Creative Library, featuring a curated selection of printable pages from activity books including Sanayang Adarna, Kaya Kong Magsulat! and Kaya Kong Gumuhit!. The materials are designed for activities such as colouring, writing, drawing and simple learning exercises.
Illustrated elements from Sanayang Adarna will also be available for users to remix in their own Canva designs. The collection is intended to give educators additional tools for culturally relevant classroom activities, while allowing students to engage with familiar Filipino stories and imagery through creative work.

The partnership will expand beyond the initial collection, with upcoming releases set to include book-report guides, reading activities, classroom resources and additional templates based on Ibong Adarna and Florante & Laura.
“Unlocking creativity starts in the classroom and at home. When learning feels personal, kids feel able to explore new ideas and celebrate who they are,” said Laura Kantor, country manager at Canva Philippines.
“This first of its kind partnership brings Adarna House's catalogue to Canva, giving educators and families new ways to explore Filipino folklore and spark creativity in the next generation of learners. We can't wait to see the ideas and activities this inspires, from classroom lessons to creative sessions that parents and kids can enjoy together.”
For Adarna House, the partnership creates another channel for its stories and characters to reach audiences as creative and learning habits evolve.
“Our mission is to keep Filipino culture alive through storytelling and touch lives across generations,” said Asa Montenejo, president, Adarna House. “Canva was the natural partner for us because it's where educators and students already create every day. The platform is accessible, easy to use, and built for exactly this kind of creativity. Partnering with Canva means our stories don't just stay on a page; they become lessons, projects, and keepsakes that generations of Filipino learners can shape for themselves.”
The Adarna House elements and customisable templates are now available through the Adarna House Creative Library on Canva.
The collaboration is also being activated offline at the Manila International Book Fair from 9 to 13 September. Visitors to the Adarna House and Canva Philippines booth can explore the latest book collection, participate in design challenges using Adarna templates and receive customised Canva merchandise.
The partnership forms part of Canva Philippines’ wider push to localise its platform for Filipino users. It follows the company’s nationwide partnership with the department of education (DepEd), as Canva continues to position its platform around accessible creative and learning tools tailored to the local market.
Founded in 1980, Adarna House has spent more than 45 years publishing books focused on Filipino readers, language, culture and identity. Its catalogue includes works spanning folklore, history and Filipino traditions, alongside educational and activity materials.
From AI-powered marketing and the friction economy to retention-led growth, DMA Philippines 2026 on 29 September in Manila will bring together marketers to tackle the opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of digital transformation.
