Five Burger King outlets will be transformed into immersive Dragon Ball Super experiences for a limited time. Inspired by the anime multiverse, the restaurant takeover will feature bold exterior graphics, character artwork, themed lighting and larger-than-life visual elements.
The participating outlets include Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Pyramid, Selangor, Botani Village, Perak, Limbongan, Melaka and Lukut, Negeri Sembilan.
The limited-time offering will also extend to the Dragon Ball Super-themed King Jr. meal, giving customers a choice of four-piece nuggets with fries and Minute Maid, Chick N crisp with fries and Minute Maid, or cheeseburger with fries and Minute Maid, alongside a themed crown.
Each set meal will also come with one of six collectible Dragon Ball Super figurines featuring Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo and Beerus.
“Dragon Ball Super is not simply an anime series; it’s a major part of the Dragon Ball franchise — a global phenomenon that has inspired generations of fans through its iconic characters, high-energy storytelling and spirit of self-mastery,” said Leong Huey Ying, head of marketing at Burger King Malaysia.
Collaborating with culturally significant IPs is a strategy that is no stranger to food brands in Malaysia. Recently, Starbucks Malaysia released a country exclusive collaboration with Mr. Men Little Miss.
Meanwhile, Baskin Robbins had teamed up with local cartoon Upin and Ipin for a Merdeka campaign.
