Starbucks Malaysia has teamed up with British character IP Mr. Men Little Miss for a Malaysia-exclusive merchandise collection, tapping into the continued popularity of character collectibles and blind boxes.

Launched on 25 August, the "Starbucks | Mr. Men Little Miss" collection features a range of collectibles and lifestyle merchandise, including a Bearista glass cold cup, tumblers, plush pouch blind boxes, a plushie, puffer bag, socks, lanyard with charms and a game set.

The game set features traditional and recreational items including 'batu seremban' ('five stones') a wooden block tower and puzzle cube, packaged with a drawstring bag.

Fans who spend a minimum of RM150 in a single receipt at Starbucks Malaysia will also receive a limited-edition car decal set featuring five Mr. Men Little Miss designs, while stocks last. Starbucks Rewards members can also redeem the merchandise using STARS.

The collaboration will extend into Starbucks' physical stores, with Starbucks Mid Valley Kiosk and Starbucks Gurney Plaza receiving Mr. Men Little Miss-themed makeovers.

When A+M reached out, Starbucks Malaysia said that the collaboration was chosen to reflect the different personalities of its customers.

The latest collaboration also builds on Starbucks Malaysia’s use of collectibles to drive engagement, with blind-box merchandise featuring prominently across its recent character-led partnerships.

In 2025, Starbucks introduced theMalaysia-exclusive Frappuccino Siplings blind box collection, featuring miniature versions of customers’ favourite Starbucks beverages.

The response prompted the brand to explore how it could build on the appeal of blind-box collectibles, particularly those featuring familiar characters and designs. With Mr. Men Little Miss, Starbucks has expanded the format into a plush pouch bag, combining the surprise element of a blind box with a functional merchandise offering.

According to the brand, the latest offering is designed to be both a collectible and a practical accessory, marking a step beyond its previous plushie blind-box products.

“Collaborations have always been a meaningful way for us to bring fresh and exciting experiences to our customers. It’s important to find the right partner that not only complements Starbucks, but also understands what resonates with the local market," said Zakiah Hanim, director of marketing and loyalty at Berjaya Starbucks.

"With Mr. Men Little Miss, we saw an opportunity to bring personality and fun into the Starbucks experience beyond our stores, with a collection designed for adventure. They’re perfect for the road trips and spontaneous getaways that Malaysians love to embark on," she added.

Earlier this month, Starbucks and POP MART launched an Asia Pacific-exclusive collaboration marking MOLLY’s 20th anniversary, spanning eight markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Australia and the Philippines. The regional collection featured limited-edition beverages, drinkware and lifestyle accessories built around three MOLLY designs created for the anniversary.

The collaboration was the latest in Starbucks’ run of character-led partnerships, bringing the POP MART character into its coffeehouse experience through merchandise, in-store activations and digital content. In Malaysia, the launch adds to the brand’s recent focus on collectible merchandise and collaborations with popular character IPs.
