Bowtie Life Insurance Company (Bowtie) and Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong have partnered on a first-of-its-kind healthcare offering, the "Medical Insurance + Wellness" package.

A voluntary health insurance scheme (VHIS), the package offers customers a premium healthcare option that they can pair with wellness services of their choosing.

There are three key elements of the scheme:

  1. Full reimbursement for medical packages - Customers will be fully reimbursed for diagnostic or surgical procedures under 240 selected medical packages, disregarding co-pay or individual benefit limits.
  2. Annual health checkups - Access to comprehensive annual health checkups up to HK$2,720.
  3. Tailormade wellness services - Customers have the option to select their own wellness services, from eye care to nutritionists and more.

“The public healthcare system has been overloaded for a long time. Bowtie believes innovation is essential, by enhancing transparency and providing affordable private healthcare services. We are honoured to have Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong stepping up and encouraging us to innovate on top of the solid foundation built by VHIS, and becoming an anchor hospital to strengthen healthcare services for citizens residing in Hong Kong Island,” said Michael Chan, co-founder and co-CEO of Bowtie Life Insurance Company.

“Gleneagles is committed to offering innovative, highly-transparent and quality healthcare services to patients. Through providing all-inclusive fixed price medical packages and fee advisory service, patients are well informed of the fees involved before making a decision about admission. Through the launch of this innovative initiative with Bowtie, we strive to provide more people with medical and healthcare solutions that meet their practical needs,” added Dr Kenneth Tsang, CEO of Gleneagles.
