Dubai-founded digital marketing and media agency Boopin has appointed Maneesheel Gautam (pictured) as regional managing director for Southeast Asia, a newly created role designed to accelerate its expansion across the region.
Based in Jakarta, Gautam’s appointment took effect earlier this year and signals a more structured regional push, with Indonesia positioned as a key growth market.
“This is a newly created role as part of Boopin’s strategic expansion in Southeast Asia and India, with a focus on strengthening regional structure while deepening market presence, particularly in Indonesia,” Gautam told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

Building a regional growth engine
In the new role, Gautam is tasked with driving growth across Southeast Asia, with a remit spanning integration, capability building and commercial expansion.
“My mandate is to drive Boopin’s growth across Southeast Asia, with three core priorities: Building and scaling an integrated Boopin offering across markets; strengthening local market capabilities, especially in Indonesia; and expanding client partnerships and developing a strong new business pipeline,” he said.
The role also includes aligning regional operations with the agency’s broader global offering across media, creative, data, and technology.
Gautam reports directly to Shadi Abdulhadi, founder and CEO of Boopin.
Focus on content, commerce and AI
Looking ahead, Gautam said his immediate priority is to lay the groundwork for scalable growth, particularly by strengthening leadership and sharpening the agency’s positioning.
“The immediate priority is to build a strong foundation for scalable growth. This includes strengthening leadership in key markets, sharpening our proposition around content and commerce, and accelerating new business momentum.”
For the remainder of 2026, Boopin’s regional strategy centres on Indonesia expansion, partnerships and AI-driven capabilities.
“We are focused on expanding our footprint in Indonesia with deeper local capabilities; building strategic partnerships across platforms, creators, and commerce ecosystems; scaling AI-enabled content production and performance marketing solutions; and growing relationships with both regional and local clients. The focus is on converting these capabilities into measurable and sustainable business growth for our clients,” he added.
Gautam joins Boopin with extensive regional experience. He previously served as managing director of GroupM Nexus in Indonesia and spent years at Mindshare, covering both Southeast Asia and India.
