Bloomberg TV anchor to join Li Ka Shing Foundation in January

Angie Lau, Bloomberg TV’s key anchor, will join the Li Ka Shing Foundation in January 2018. She will be a key part of his team of investors and philanthropists after 20 years in the business of journalism.

“I am thrilled to be working for Chairman Li, one of the world’s greatest business minds and philanthropists,” said Lau. “The foundation has improved so many lives and impacted communities all around the world, and it’s an honor to be part of it.”

Lau was most recently an anchor with Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong, heading up Bloomberg’s flagship morning programming for years.

She began her career with Bloomberg in Chicago reporting from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade in 2008. Three years later, she transferred to Hong Kong where she subsequently rose to her role as key anchor for the region.

Established in 1980, the Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF) has invested in education, medical services and research initiatives in 27 countries and regions, with over 80% of the projects located within the Greater China region.
