Betadine tackles top travel concern among Malaysians with new spot

Betadine Malaysia’s latest campaign, “Don’t Turn Your Vacation into a Staycation”, aims to raise awareness around its cold and flu products through a series of videos, social postings and social media contest.

Done in collaboration with Fishermen Integrated, which was responsible for the ideation, execution and digital media buying, the campaign videos aim to show how a family member falling sick can put an abrupt end to a nice vacation, and that Betadine can prevent that from happening before the holidays.

Meanwhile, the Betadine Self-Care Contest on social media encourages consumers to “Like” the brand’s Facebook page and comment how Betadine Feminine Care empowers them to love themselves more.

Fishermen Integrated’s ECD Andrew Tan said that through its research, the agency discovered that while Malaysians travel often, one of their top three concerns during a family vacation is that a family member will fall sick. “So, there was an opportunity for Betadine to own this territory of prevention before the holidays,” Tan added.

The campaign videos have garnered approximately 685K views on Facebook and 178k views on YouTube at the time of writing.
