Indonesian investment app Ajaib has appointed BLACKPINK's Lisa (pictured) as its new ambassador. Ajaib unveiled the appointment across its social media channels through a video teaser. The posts also captioned that it would join forces with Lisa to accompany users' journey in Ajaib in the future. The brand also encouraged users to share the type of collaborative efforts they hope to see.
The post has garnered over 2,400 likes, 174 comments and over 16,000 views on Facebook, over 150,000 views and 3,310 comments on Instagram, as well as over 18.000 likes and over 11,700 retweets on Twitter at the time of writing. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Ajaib for more details.
Ajaib also previously appointed South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho as its brand ambassador in December 2020, according to Tempo. However, Kim faced some heat last October when a post, claiming to be his ex-girlfriend surfaced on the online community website Nate Pann. In the post, Kim was accused of pressuring his ex-girlfriend to terminate her pregnancy when they were still dating. A check by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE at the time then showed that Ajaib had taken down its posts featuring the actor, and its YouTube video of the actor has been unlisted, though it remains available via search - just three days since the allegations surfaced.
Separately, Chivas named Lisa as its new ambassador and the first female face in Asia. By teaming up with Lisa, Chivas aims to celebrate and elevate the next generation of hustlers who are forging their own paths to success. This follows the brand's "I Rise, We Rise" campaign, where Chivas committed to inspire the next generation of scotch drinkers from around the world. MAC Cosmetics also named Lisa its global brand ambassador last October and she is currently the face of MAC's renowned collections and key campaigns, as well as the muse for the brand's innovation projects. Under this long-term partnership, Lisa will also work with MAC makeup artists to showcase her signature looks, share beauty secrets, skincare regimens and lifestyle with MAC fans.
