R/GA's SVP MD Dorothy Peng steps down

R/GA Singapore's senior vice president, managing director of Asia Dorothy Peng has stepped down after eight years at the agency, according to R/GA when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out. 

Peng joined R/GA Singapore in 2015 as its group account director. After just under three years in the role, she was promoted to managing director of Singapore, a role she held for three years. in May 2021, Peng was promoted to vice president, managing director of Singapore.

In June last year, R/GA restructured its business in Asia and Australia to accelerate growth. With the reorganisation, Peng took on the role of SVP, managing director, Asia and began overseeing R/GA’s Singapore, Indonesia, China, and Tokyo offices.

"During her time leading R/GA in Asia she oversaw the launch of some of R/GA’s most awarded projects in the region," said R/GA. "We wish Peng well for her future endeavors"

It added that its offices in the region will continue to operate as per normal under the leadership of their respective local general managers, overseen by R/GA’s global CEO Robin Forbes, and global CCO and chair Tiffany Rolfe.

"8 years is the longest I’ve spent with any institution, apart from the institution of my marriage and my faith," Peng said in a post on LinkedIn.

She added that after a short sabbatical, she will be starting somewhere new in the new year. 

"Thank you R/GA, for lessons, growth, and relationships formed. A ride I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely miss," she said. 

Prior to her stint at R/GA, Peng spent six years in BBDO Singapore, helming senior account director roles from 2009 to 2015. She has also worked in Saatchi & Saatchi in her career.
