72andSunny promotes Evin Shutt to global CEO

72andSunny has promoted global COO and partner, Evin Shutt, to global CEO replacing Matt Jarvis who takes on the role of co-chairman. According to 72andSunny, Shutt (pictured) joined the agency in 2004 as its first employee, and has played a vital role in shaping its success in its 15-year history. It added that Shutt was also instrumental in turning the values of 72andSunny into growth and action.

She is also said to have been a key driver of 72andSunny's global expansion, the incubation and launch of creative company Hecho Studios; the corporate responsibility consulting practice, Brand Citizens; and 72andSunny's leadership position in talent and culture, the press statement said. According to her LinkedIn, Shutt previously helmed roles such as brand director, managing director, and director of brand operations at 72andSunny.

Shutt said the agency's track record of success, depth and quality of relationships, and strong creative identity and talent has enabled it to be in a position of strength for the future. "For a company whose mantra is ‘Comfort with change,’ the dynamism of the market plays to our advantage and unlocks new ways for us to bring value to our clients, and meaning for our people," she added.

Jarvis said Shutt is an "innovator with a bias for action", adding that having her as CEO gives the agency more ambition and energy for its people to embrace the future. "[Shutt] leads with a fearless spirit and is relentless in the pursuit of unignorable creativity, massive cultural impact, and personal growth of our people," he added.

Closer to home in Singapore, 72andSunny appointed Jaclyn Lee as its strategy director last year, in a bid to bolster its strategy team. Ida Siow, executive strategy director, 72andSunny Singapore said Lee is a 21st century strategist, who understands how brands flex in a modern business and communications ecosystem. "As a modern creative agency, we can’t wait for her to join us as we grow with our clients in the region," she added.

It also made six new hires across creative, production, brand and strategy last May. Director of talent and operations, Chew Ling Tan, said previously that the group of individuals share the agency's ambition of wanting to shape a modern creative company for a modern Southeast Asian market.
