Zalora has appointed Parker Gundersen as chief executive officer. Parker joins Zalora from DFS Group, the travel retail subsidiary of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Parker brings over 15 years of relevant retail and leadership experience working in key management positions across Asia, the Middle East and North America. Early in his career at DFS, Parker was responsible for leading a number of high profile projects for the company, including establishing DFS’ footprint in the Middle East and developing the company’s operations in India.
From 2011 to 2015, Parker served as general manager for DFS Singapore, and most recently held the position of vice president for DFS North America, overseeing the company’s operations and business development function in the region. Prior to DFS, Parker worked in management consulting in the strategy and operations practice at Deloitte Consulting.
