Yahoo Hong Kong went above and beyond at the competition at the eighth annual Spark Awards for Media Excellence in Hong Kong tonight and was crowned the Media Owner of the Year.
The main platform for media owners across Hong Kong to showcase their solutions and services for advertisers, the Awards saw plenty of excited finalists gather at Hotel ICON to see if their company would take home the top awards. All entries were carefully evaluated by a high-profile panel of 17 media professionals.

Standing out from the crowd and impressing the jury with innovative solutions and team results, Yahoo Hong Kong was awarded seven golds and silvers, as well as six bronzes. Campaigns which struck Gold for Yahoo Hong included the ITeSHOP GIGON 2020, csl. 5G Launch, BetterMe #StayWithMe, Only Live Once – The Year To Rethink 2020, “Yahoo 25 Hong Kong Passion Moments in 5G” Immersive VR Media Event, AMEX x Yahoo Plat RCP Acquisition, AXA Ask Dr Chiu Content Series.
HK01 Company won the prestigious Media Brand of the Year. Another media champ with stellar performances in 2021 includes Metro Broadcast. Its Hit Awards 2020 won three golds and four silvers in total, and was crowned the Media Campaign of the Year.
It was a tight competition and a total of 85 trophies awarded to the leading media owners across the regions at the ceremony.
