Link Asset Management and FleishmanHillard blitzed the competition and were crowned the 2017 overall brand and agency champions at the PR Awards in Hong Kong.
Some 300 finalists and senior communications professionals from across the region gathered at Hotel Icon to recognise the best PR campaigns from the past year and celebrate the achievements of the industry.
Link Asset Management snatched the prestigious title Best of Show – Brand and was presented with three gold awards in categories including Best PR Campaign – Lifestyle for the campaign Stanley Plaza Enchanted Christmas Market, Best PR Idea for H.A.N.D.S x WTWC International Thumb Wrestling Championship and Best Engagement – Targeted Community for Stanley Plaza PAWS by the Sea 2017.
It also won two silver and one bronze in the categories of Best PR Campaign – Food and Beverage, Best Engagement – Targeted Community and Best PR Idea.

On the agency front, the Best of Show – Agency winner FleishmanHillard scooped four gold awards across the categories of Best Experiential PR Campaign, Best PR Campaign – Media Relations, Best PR Campaign – Public Services and Campaign of the Year.
The multiple campaigns that saw FleishmanHillard over the line included the campaign “An evening with Stephen Hawking” for ARHT Media. In March, ARHT Media partnered with the agency to invite famous physicist Stephen Hawking to speak to over 700 Hong Kong audience by hologram, showcasing the growing reach of a technology which is making inroads into politics, entertainment and business.
For media, FleishmanHillard provided a behind-the-scenes tour, the holographic projection footage production trial and feature interviews with executives, to deliver an informative and impressive first-hand experience.
The media campaign resulted in coverage by over 120 media across the world. Having successfully pitched Xinhua News Agency and Agence France Presse, the event was reported in over 20 countries.
Meanwhile, Holly Chan from Sinclair Communications took home the one and only “Rising Star” award of 2017.
Starting as a junior at Sinclair, she has grown with the agency in the past five years to the position of account manager, leading some of the agency’s key accounts from travel and tourism, to F&B, sports, arts and culture.
