Waggener nabs BM’s talent

Integrated communications agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide (WE) has appointed Zaheer Nooruddin as vice president and APAC regional digital strategies lead.

Nooruddin (pictured) has had over a decade of integrated digital experience working with global brands across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

Nooruddin will be based in Singapore and report to Matthew Lackie, senior vice president and APAC lead. He will lead WE Studio D’s team of analysts, digital strategists, designers, writers, editors, technologists and video producers across the region.

WE Studio is WE’s digital services brand and services clients such as 7-Eleven, CSL, Pernod-Ricard, the Singapore Health Promotion Board and Zuji.

Prior to joining the agency Nooruddin served as APAC regional lead digital strategist at Burson-Marsteller as well as held senior positions in digital marketing at Edelman Worldwide, OgilvyOne, BBDO/Proximity Worldwide and Wunderman.

Commenting on his future goals, Nooruddin said he hopes to build on a “great culture of creativity and innovation with solutions that are real time, mobile-centric, and designed to solve our clients’ complex marketing and communications challenges across the region.”

Lackie added that Nooruddin “has an innate ability to translate digital trends into actionable marketing and communications strategies that drive business outcomes, which is what our clients and brand marketers need.”
