VinFast is accelerating its push into Southeast Asia’s electric mobility space, signing deals with 14 e-scooter distributors in the Philippines ahead of its June 2026 market launch.
The agreements mark a significant step in rapidly scaling the brand’s retail footprint, while reinforcing its longer-term ambition to build a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem in the country.
The newly signed partners include established motorcycle distributors such as Wheeltek Motor Sales Corporation, Gentrade International Phils., Inc. (Transcycle), Superbikes Corporation, Motoxpress Sales Corporation, FMN Industrial Corp., Eduhome Enterprise, Inc., Keymotors Incorporated, Motorpro by Abenson Ventures Inc. and Aserco, Moto Atelier Inc., Ciclo Suerte, HG Motorzone, HGC Main Marketing (Motorboy), BLC Cycle Parts Supply, and Auto Ten Trade & Services Corp.

Collectively, these partners bring extensive distribution networks, operational scale, and deep experience in the local motorcycle market – factors that are critical as VinFast looks to establish early traction in one of Southeast Asia’s most competitive two-wheeler landscapes.
Retail-first strategy to anchor launch
The partnerships are designed to fast-track the rollout of showrooms nationwide, with multiple outlets expected to open in parallel with the official product launch. The network will prioritise high-demand urban areas including Metro Manila, Metro Davao, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, and Metro Cebu, aligning with regions showing strong potential for green mobility adoption.
All outlets will adhere to VinFast’s global standards for operations and brand identity, signalling a consistent retail experience as the company scales.
In its initial phase, the network will distribute a line-up of swappable-battery e-scooters, including the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models, alongside additional vehicles tailored to local infrastructure and usage patterns.
Building an ecosystem beyond vehicles
Beyond distribution, VinFast is positioning its Philippine entry around a broader ecosystem play – combining retail, after-sales services, financing solutions, and energy infrastructure.
A central pillar of this strategy is the planned deployment of approximately 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide, developed in collaboration with infrastructure partners. The move is aimed at addressing one of the key barriers to EV adoption in emerging markets: charging convenience.
The Philippines presents a compelling opportunity. As one of Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle markets, it is characterised by strong reliance on personal mobility and increasing urban density. At the same time, fuel price volatility and rising environmental awareness are accelerating interest in alternative transport solutions such as e-scooters.
The Philippines forms part of VinFast’s broader international expansion strategy announced earlier in 2026, which includes Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Malaysia. The e-scooter category complements the company’s wider electric vehicle portfolio, enabling it to address multiple mobility segments across the region.
“We are not only introducing products tailored to local needs, but also developing an integrated ecosystem, from battery-swapping infrastructure to after-sales services, enabling consumers to access and adopt e-scooters in a convenient, efficient, and sustainable manner,” said Vo Thi Cam Tu, managing director of VinFast e-scooters overseas market.
