VinFast hands the design wheel to Indonesians with 'Your voice, our future'

VinFast is inviting Indonesians to take the driver’s seat - not just behind the wheel, but in shaping the future of the nation’s electric vehicles. The Vietnamese automaker has launched “Your voice, our future” (“Suaramu penentu langkah kami”), an unprecedented design-voting initiative that turns Indonesia’s car-buying public into collaborators.
The campaign allows citizens to vote on the look and feel of VinFast’s next-generation electric vehicle range - and even submit their own design ideas.
Running nationwide from 7-18 October 2025, the initiative invites participants to browse detailed exterior and interior sketches for five models - the VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 - and vote for their favourites via myvoiceforvinfast.com or at physical pop-ups in malls, exhibitions, and VinFast showrooms.

But the brand isn’t stopping at votes. It’s also inviting Indonesians to upload original sketches in JPEG or PNG format - with the potential for standout ideas to inspire, or even shape, future production vehicles. A total prize pool worth IDR 1.34 billion (US$80,800) adds a competitive spark to the creative call.
“Guided by our ‘customer-centricity’ philosophy, VinFast intends for the people of Indonesia to become the true co-creators of our electric vehicle future. We firmly believe that every idea, every choice from the community, holds intrinsic value and the power to shape groundbreaking designs,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia.
“‘Your voice, our future’ is a powerful affirmation that VinFast is committed to listening and empowering the Indonesian community to directly contribute to the green transformation journey. This initiative will establish a solid platform for VinFast and Indonesia to collectively break boundaries, reach further, and make a significant mark in the global green revolution,” he added.
A panel of media, culture, and motorsport figures - including Munawar Chalil (Carvaganza), IAM Auto Modified, Moto Mobi, Gofar Hilman, and Revy Vamella - will join Hardjosoemarto in evaluating submissions. The results will be announced on 26 October, following a review period from 19-24 October.
The program’s tagline, “Vote for the design that moves you forward, and drives Indonesia further,” reinforces VinFast’s ambition to align innovation with national identity - transforming electric mobility into a shared creative movement rather than a corporate agenda.
Since entering Indonesia, VinFast has accelerated its localisation efforts with a Subang assembly plant underway and a growing product portfolio covering VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF e34, and VF 7. The company is also expanding dealership and service networks while securing local financing partnerships to make electric ownership more attainable.
