Italian scooter brand Vespa has appointed BBH to handle its global advertising account. The appointment comes without a pitch.
BBH will handle advertising across Asia, Europe and the US. The agency will also help the scooter brand develop a new brand position for Vespa that builds on its strong heritage and simultaneously appeal to newer audiences.
Davide Zanolini, group marketing and communication director at Piaggio said: “it was the right time for a premium brand like Vespa, which has set many milestones in the history of communication, to leverage its heritage through an innovative, unconventional, unexpected creative approach.”
Ads will roll out in the later part of the year to keep in line with the launch of the Vespa Primavera.
