VCCP Singapore names creative group head

Integrated communications agency VCCP Singapore has named Anh Nguyen (pictured) as its new creative group head, according to the agency when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out. He will be reporting to VCCP Singapore's executive creative director, Andrew Hook.

As the creative group head at VCCP Singapore, Nguyen will leverage creativity to solve the agency's clients' business problems.

From ideation to execution, he'll be driving innovation and ensuring VCCP Singapore's work speaks to consumers across all mediums. Nguyen will also play a role in mentoring younger team members, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment, it said.

Nguyen joins the agency after spending just over a year as a senior copywriter at KVUR. At KVUR, he combined big agency with start-up agility to deliver innovative creative solutions. He worked with clients such as Hilton, Ascott, ACUVUE, 3M and Mercer in his time there. 

Prior to that, Nguyen was a copywriter at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, a role he held for just under four years. In his role, Nguyen conceptualised, developed and commissioned external vendors to execute integrated campaigns for Apple on an APAC and global level. He left the role in 2023. 

Before that, Nguyen was with VCCP Singapore names regional head of client services as a creative. Here, he conceived and delivered pitches for Starbucks APAC and Guinness Singapore as well as worked on accounts such as Formula 1, IHG, Samsung and Abbott

Nguyen's appointment comes shortly after the agency named Ismail Jooma as its new head of planning for APAC. With years of experience in guiding multiple teams across various continents, Jooma bought a wealth of experience and a dynamic perspective on Asian culture and trends. Within his role, Jooma will craft strategies that inspire rich creative ideas that drive business results.
