'Unstoppable stories': Yura Yunita fronts Betadine's new chapter in Indonesia

Betadine, a household staple in Indonesian health routines for the past five decades, is marking its 50th anniversary with a multi-channel campaign, "Unstoppable stories."

Since its introduction, the antiseptic has become synonymous with family care - used for everything from treating minor wounds at home and supporting school activities to professional medical practices. Accessible and trusted across generations, the brand has built a reputation for reliability in safeguarding health.

The "Unstoppable stories" campaign curates personal accounts from healthcare workers, families, and young people, emphasising how small acts of self-care at home can have long-term impacts on health resilience.

The anniversary launch also introduced a retrospective video highlighting the brand's five-decade journey in Indonesia, alongside forward-looking initiatives. These included a session with campaign ambassador and musician Yura Yunita, and a health education dialogue with Gia Pratama.

"This is a country with an extraordinary collective spirit - from resilience and care to the strength of community. iNova Pharmaceuticals is committed to delivering products with an approach centred on people's needs. Going forward, we remain dedicated to empowering Indonesian families and communities by providing innovative health and wellness solutions that make a real impact and meet the needs of society," said Dan Spira, CEO of iNova Pharmaceuticals, Betadine's marketer.

At the local level, Benyamin Wuisan, country head of iNova Pharmaceuticals Indonesia, framed the next phase as one of inclusivity and adaptability. "We continue to adapt to the needs of the next generation of Indonesian families - becoming more inclusive, more educational, and still easily accessible. We believe that with the right health products, the future of healthcare will be a collaborative era - one of sustainable innovation that can enhance quality of life for all," he said.

Yura Yunita framed self-care as a form of love that empowers people with greater confidence and resilience to face life's challenges. She stressed that healthy habits should be passed down through generations, with a particular focus on ensuring that young women feel acknowledged, understood, and supported.

Headquartered in Singapore, iNova Pharmaceuticals operates across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with offices in 14 markets including Indonesia, Australia, Japan, and the UAE. Besides Betadine, its portfolio spans other well-known brands such as Acne-Aid, Demazin, Difflam, and Reef, covering categories from wound and throat care to skin and women's health.
