Unilever talent heads to Mondelez International

Shanahan Chua, previously global communications capability manager of Unilever, has left to join Mondelez International.He will be taking up the role of communications and government affairs manager for Asia Pacific. In the role, his main responsibility is to support the design and execution of the regional external communications strategy for Mondelez in Asia Pacific.This includes managing the media relations, issues management and social media strategies at a corporate regional level.Chua reports to Janice Armstrong, VP for corporate communications and government affairs.In his previous role with Unilever, a role which he held for two years, Chua was in charge of leading the development and implementation of the strategic plans to build skills capability across the global communications function.His role was focused on building capability and connections globally to enable a network of information sharing best practice building and professional learning development.Chua had been with Unilever since July 2004, first starting out as a PR executive in Unilever Philippines.
