"Sunny days call for a Tesla." Amid the war against car-hailing apps in Hong Kong, Uber has expanded its service by adding the electric supercar Tesla to UberBLACK rides.
Kevin Huang, the co-founder & CEO of the multi-screen advertising company Pixels, has just tried this brand new ride recently. This satisfied customer showed his appreciation right after getting off from car by posting a tweet: "Brand new @Uber_HK Tesla ride home tonight. Why are taxis all over the world complaining again?"
Uber first revealed the new Tesla fleet with an obviously auspicious number ‘RR 8888’ licence plate last Sunday on Instagram. The tech company also mentioned “Get lucky and get yours (Tesla) with UberBLACK” so it is believed that this service would be limited-time offer.
It is not the first time for Uber to team up with the luxury car brands, the car-hailing app once partnered with Porsche Centre Hong Kong for charity rides last year.
