Tung Lok partners Ebb and Flow to make The Dragon Chamber speakeasy comeback

Observant consumers may have noticed Tung Lok's The Dragon Chamber hidden within Lokkee at Plaza Singapura back in 2017. Unfortunately, it was short-lived, shutting down about a year after. Now, the speakeasy concept is making a comeback through a collaboration between Ebb and Flow Group and Tung Lok Group.Serving fusion cuisine, the new 45-seater outlet will open on 1 April at 2 Circular Rd. The restaurant and bar are hidden behind a door, disguised as a glass fridge, in an unassuming kopitiam selling wanton noodles. With dragon paintings splashed across the pillars and wooden chairs, the decor inside is deeply reminiscent of Chinatown's secret society hangouts and gambling dens in the olden days. On its website, The Dragon Chamber promises to be a "den of gastronomic adventure" that features "dishes that are not typical Chinese banquet yet with immense flavors."Speaking to Greatnewplaces.com, Creative Director of Ebb and Flow Group Norman Hartono said, "Dragon Chamber is for people who are looking for an adventure around every corner and want to push the boundaries of traditions and Chinese food. We focus on embodying the rebellious spirit of creation rather than just making food that sells."Ebb and Flow Group currently owns one Michelin starred French restaurant Bacchanalia and fusion concept Hou Hou as well as hotels, Atlantis Pods and Circular House.(Photo courtesy of eatbook.sg)
