Tune Talk struts into 16th year with refreshed logo

Tune Talk is celebrating its 16th year in Malaysia with a refreshed identity that puts creativity, youth, and community at its core.

The refreshed look introduces a striking splash of turquoise to its iconic red logo, symbolising energy, creative freedom, and the brand’s connection to a younger, bolder generation of users.

The brand refresh, unveiled alongside its 16th anniversary, reflects Tune Talk’s continued evolution from a challenger telco to a lifestyle-driven brand with a strong youth focus.

Jill Yeap, head of marketing at Tune Talk, said the new identity goes beyond a logo update, capturing the spirit of collaboration and the team’s drive to keep the brand relevant and “epik", as she puts it.

“That splash of turquoise isn’t just a colour,” Yeap shared in a LinkedIn post. “It’s the energy of a team that believes in creative freedom. It’s a nod to the youth we serve. Bold, expressive, and unfiltered. It’s our way of saying: we hear you, we see you, and we’re building a brand that reflects you.”

From its beginnings, Tune Talk has positioned itself as a telco for the people, championing affordability, freedom of choice, and youth empowerment. Sixteen years later, that spirit remains but now with a brighter and more modern look designed to resonate with Gen Z and millennials while staying true to its roots.

The new visual identity also comes with a renewed focus on engagement, aiming to connect with customers through meaningful and creative experiences both online and offline. The company said the refreshed brand is a step towards shaping the next chapter of Tune Talk’s journey as it looks to continue empowering voices across Malaysia.

Earlier in July, Tune Talk appointed Jill Yeap as its new head of marketing, tapping her 15 years of experience in strategic brand building and consumer engagement across the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

Tune Talk is not the only mobile network provider looking for a refresh this year. Last month, Maxis unveiled a refreshed brand promise, “Tomorrow begins today”. Marking a renewed commitment to empower Malaysians to take charge of the present and shape their own futures.

It said the new brand promise reflects Maxis’ ambition to go beyond just providing connectivity, positioning itself as an enabler of everyday moments that matter, whether it’s launching a business, nurturing a passion project, or staying connected to loved ones.
