Traveloka brings Indonesia tourism to life with VR at Singapore Changi Airport

Travel and lifestyle platform Traveloka has partnered with Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, and Changi Airport Group for Singaporean travellers to virtually experience tourist destinations in Indonesia. As part of its recent launch of the Traveloka Xperience platform, the company will set up an interactive and virtual reality booth titled "Xperience Wonderful Indonesia Hub" at Changi Airport.

Featuring tourist destinations such as Bali, Riau Islands, Jakarta, Lombok and many others, the VR experience booth will take travelers all around Indonesia and explore the Xperience Pedestal to find travel tips and inspirations to attractions. The booth will be running until 6 November 2019. Marketing has reached out to Traveloka for additional information.

Indonesia has identified Singapore as a tourism hub this year serving as a major aviation gateway for the nation. According to Traveloka, over 7,400 flights fly from and to Changi Airport in a week attracting travelers not only from Asia but also from other regions in the world.

Christian Suwarna, CEO of Traveloka Experience, said in line with the company's commitment, this partnership aims to support the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia in reaching the target of 20 million tourist visits and introducing the New Bali, specifically prioritised tourism destinations.

Meanwhile, Ir. Rizki Handayani M., deputy of marketing development I of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia said through the Xperience Wonderful Indonesia Hub, the organisation is able to feature most of super priority tourism destinations, including Danau Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo, that will be a priority to reach the 20 million tourist visits target this year.
