Toyota HK produces in-house car review video of Noah featuring Ahfa Wong

As one of Hong Kong's most popular vehicle brands, Toyota Hong Kong has rolled out a campaign featuring TV programme director Ahfa Wong from ViuTV, who is sponsored by the brand to test the private car in a video.

The ongoing campaign includes a video featuring Wong being invited by Toyota Hong Kong to test the new private car Noah. In the video, Wong becomes the first driver in Hong Kong to own the latest edition of Noah. To promote the car, the team produced a six-minute video which is similar to car review videos where hosts drive around Hong Kong to test its performance. During her drive, Wong talks about her family, the relationship with some members of boyband MIRROR, her preferences for a private car, and most importantly the performance of the new Noah.

In addition to showcasing the personal side of Wong to pique audiences' interest, Toyota Hong Kong also features a staff member in the video, introducing the safety features, exteriors, seating and control panel. According to Toyota Hong Kong, the campaign targets drivers who are aged 35 and above with a small families consisting of only three to four members. The campaign is disseminated mainly on digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Both Wong and Toyota Hong Kong shared the video on their social platforms to enhance awareness.

Prior to this video, Toyota Hong Kong also rolled out another video in February, leveraging the punchy Japanese words “Henshin”,which means revamp, change, or upgrade, to tell the functions and versatility of the car, featuring stories of a dad and her daughter. The brand also said by using the words "Henshin", the ad could help male audiences in their 30s or 40s to evoke their memories of the superhero television series Kamen Rider.

Toyota is one of the most popular vehicle brands in Hong Kong. According to the transport department of the Hong Kong government, in January 2022, there were a total of 461 new Toyota private cars registered in the city, the highest number among all brands in Hong Kong, followed by Tesla (268), Honda (263) and Mercedes-Benz (228).
