Seasonal ads were all the rage on YouTube during the first half of this year, with ads forÂ Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the Lunar New Year drawing the most eyeballs, according to YouTube. Even so,Â ads for everyday necessities such as internet connectivity and soy sauce were also popular among Malaysians.
The top 10 videos that YouTube unveiled for the first half of 2019 all opted for ads as short as 15-seconds for products, and seasonal ads also stretched to a maximum of five minutes. While production quality has been consistent with ads from yesteryear, this yearâ€™s list seem to feature more dramatic takes of popular formats, YouTube said. The festive sketches, in particular, have opted for a darker tone to convey their respective messages of family, unity and tradition.
“These ads are another reminder of Malaysiaâ€™s thriving ad industry and the amazing pool of creative talent we have,” YouTube said. Check out the top 10 videos here:
