SIA and Mandai Wildlife Group team up to bring tourists in and let the wild out

Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group and Mandai Wildlife Group have entered a three-year strategic partnership to drive inbound tourism and raise awareness around wildlife conservation, as both brands look to position Singapore as a nature-led destination with unique visitor experiences.

Under the partnership, travellers flying with SIA can expect curated wildlife experiences, co-branded retail collections, and exclusive perks when visiting the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, home to Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, and Rainforest Wild Asia.

The collaboration will also see SIA supporting Mandai Wildlife Group’s conservation efforts through air travel sponsorships and logistical aid. This includes the transport of animals between accredited wildlife institutions globally, as well as facilitating repatriation efforts to native habitats.

To amplify reach, the partnership will be integrated across various customer touchpoints. Pelago, SIA’s travel experiences platform, will feature bundled promotions including stays at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree and local food experiences. Special edition merchandise will also be made available via KrisShop and selected retail stores at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

KrisFlyer members will have early access to upcoming indoor attractions Curiosity Cove and Exploria, two hypernatural and immersive play spaces set to launch at the eastern cluster of the Reserve.

Additional perks include bonus miles for ticket purchases via Pelago and redemption opportunities for experiences such as Colugo Camp, an all-inclusive wildlife-themed camping experience launching in the third quarter of 2025.

To build further brand exposure and deepen storytelling around conservation, SIA will feature Mandai content on its KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system from August 2025. Programmes include The great migration: First steps and New Eden, documenting the relocation of avian species from the former Jurong Bird Park to Bird Paradise.

Both groups said the initiative aligns with Singapore’s "City in nature" vision, aiming to boost destination appeal while showcasing the country’s efforts in biodiversity preservation.

“This partnership strengthens our ability to offer our customers enhanced benefits, while supporting wildlife initiatives in Singapore and around the world. Combining the Singapore Airlines Group’s global reach with Mandai’s world-class wildlife attractions helps to enhance Singapore’s appeal as a leading global tourist destination," said Vinod Kannan, senior vice president sales and marketing at SIA.

Echoing similar sentiments, Belina Lee, deputy chief executive officer, transformation and growth at Mandai Wildlife Group said, "Two iconic Singapore brands have joined forces to create world class experiences for global travellers, that also champion conservation. Every visit supports conservation in our wildlife parks, across Singapore and the region. Together with SIA, we are excited to create exceptional 'conservation included' journeys where travellers can fly, stay, play and explore, right here in Singapore, a true city in nature."

The tie-up comes on the heels of Mandai Wildlife Group’s new SG60 initiative, "Mandai is Wild about SG", marking Singapore’s 60th year of independence with immersive animal encounters, limited-time offers, and community activations aimed at making nature more accessible to all.

Rolling out this month, the SG60 WildPass specials include two-ticket bundles to Singapore Zoo or River Wonders for SG$60, and a three-park youth pass for SG$60 for those aged 13 to 21. Seniors can also tap on a major discount, a five-park membership for SG$60 (down from the usual SG$235).
