SaaS platform Tigerhall has appointed Nicky Bowen (pictured) as head of content. She was formerly with The Economist Group for over eight years and Bowen replaces Nash Pillay, who will continue to lead strategic initiatives within Tigerhall. In her new role, Bowen will be responsible for the overall content strategy and will work closely with the business leaders to add depth, nuance and breadth to the topics covered on the platform. She will report directly to CEO Nellie Wartoft.

Bowen was with The Economist Group since February 2014. During her time there, she addressed financial inclusion, environmental sustainability, global trade as well as healthcare, and worked with leading policy makers and world-renowned business leaders. She was the Head of Programmes for EMEA, the global head of programmes and eventually programme director in APAC. Bowen also spearheaded the delivery of The Economist’s inaugural Open Future Festival, which aims to shape the global intellectual agenda and encourage discourse and engagement on topics of social and political importance. Bowen said that she is excited to join Tigerhall at such an important time for the platform, but also the broader world of work. "Upskilling and learning are front of mind for businesses and their employees and I am looking forward to working with global thought leaders to create content that not only inspires but also helps people realise their career aspirations,” she added.

Bowen's appointment comes after the platform bagged US$7 million in a round of funding in December 2021, led by Monk's Hill Ventures. Megan Yulga, head of marketing at Tigerhall, told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that it is rapidly investing in product development by building some powerful tools for organisations to embed learning into their culture through Social Learning.

"Our approach to knowledge sharing is seeing 90% of users attributing improved work performance to Tigerhall. We've worked with P&G, DBS, AWS, HP and Singlife and have cataloged professional insights throughout over 1300 pieces of micro-content," she said. Yulga also added that Bowen's appointment meant a ramp up of content from industry experts, known in the company as "Thinkfluencers". Tigerhall currently has over 800 "Thinkfluencers" across 15 industries and 32 countries.

Yulga also noted that Tigerhall's users are attributing 90% improved work performance to the platform. "It's because we leverage micro-content in the forms of podcasts, livestreams and power reads and focus the key messages around actionability and steps you can take immediately to tackle an objective. From a social content perspective - the opportunity to play with this content makes our jobs really exciting," she said.
