The Republic of Singapore Navy calls for creative pitch

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) has called for a pitch for the Navy Recruitment Centre which is responsible for developing, communicating and executing recruitment strategies for the Republic of Singapore Navy across all uniformed vocations. As such, the Navy Recruitment Centre is looking for an agency to help position Republic of Singapore Navy as a premier public service agency with exciting, challenging and meaningful career opportunities and attract quality applications.

With a contract period of three years, the agency will help to develop an overall recruitment publicity strategy and manage implementation and execution of the collaterals. The overall strategy will need to address recruitment issues and challenges faced post-COVID-19, and ensure consistent communications between publicity and events to aid in increasing RSN’s visibility as a career option in the minds of the public.

The creative contents will also need to be in sync with recruitment messages and should ideally feature different uniformed vocations, as well as women, and mid-careerists.  The ads created need to be integrated across platforms such as print, OOH, digital amongst others. Currently, MullenLowe Singapore is the agency behind many of RSN’s recruitment campaigns. The two have worked together since March 2020, and the contract period then was slated for a period of three years.

Meanwhile, just last week RSN also launched a series of adrenaline-pumping ads titled “It’s not crazy. It’s the Divers of the Navy”, “It’s not crazy. It’s the Experts of the Navy,” and “It’s not crazy. It’s the Engineers of the Navy”.

The campaign builds on RSN’s recruitment drive launched in 2021 titled "It's not crazy, it's the Navy" reflecting the resilience and grit displayed by its personnel. The campaign aims to appeal to purpose-driven individuals who embody the spirit of Generation Z and value resilience, tenacity and collective purpose.
