Telkomsel partners ONE Championship to engage Indonesian fans with martial arts content

Telkomsel and ONE Championship have partnered to collaborate on various projects to engage more fans across Asia, especially in Indonesia. The partnership also aims to leverage both Telkomsel’s and ONE Championship’s capabilities and influence to promote martial arts-related content, digital assets and services, events and telecommunications services to fans and Telkomsel subscribers in Indonesia.

ONE Championship will have a dedicated channel on Telkomsel’s online streaming platform MAXstream to showcase live events. Marketing Interactive has reached out to Telkomsel for additional information.

Telkomsel’s marketing director Alistair Johnston, said Indonesia has a long history of martial arts in its culture including forms such as Pencak Silat. As such, it looks forward to raising the profile and celebrating the true values of the martial arts community in Indonesia.

Johnston added that by having ONE Championship as an addition of Telkomsel’s digital video partners, Telkomsel expects to bring a better quality mobile digital lifestyle experience to its customers.

According to ONE Championship’s chief financial officer, Teh Hua Fung, the partnership aims to utilise both organisations’ expansive user base to promote authentic martial arts in Asia, especially in Indonesia where there is a passionate fan base.

“This partnership with Telkomsel is yet another development towards making martial arts accessible to over four billion people in Asia, especially in Indonesia where we have held live events since the beginning of the promotion,” Teh added.
