
TBWA Shanghai wins Nintendo Switch account in China

Nintendo Switch's authorised distribution in China, Tencent, has named TBWA Shanghai as its creative partner.
The service scope of this pitch includes strategic and creative services such as the development of integrated and e-commerce campaign content.
Speaking of the win, Joanne Lao, CEO of TBWA Greater China, said, "We are honoured to partner with Tencent to provide strategic insights and disruptive creativity across the consumer journey and to work together to accelerate growth in the dynamic China market."
This account is TBWA’s second business win in the gaming category in China this year, following closely on the heels of the recent win as creative partner for China for Riot Games, League of Legends World Championships 2020 which will be hosted in Shanghai later this year.
According to China’s Gaming Industry Report 2019, China has surpassed the US to become the top gaming market in the world.
