Singapore-based ride platform TADA has entered a strategic partnership with Hong Kong’s BigBoss Taxi, marking a collaborative effort to accelerate digital transformation within the city’s transport ecosystem.

The alliance aims to elevate service quality, enhance customer experience, and provide drivers with exclusive benefits, including competitive vehicle rental packages. It also underscores TADA’s commitment to fostering equitable collaborations within the taxi industry through its zero-commission model, which allows drivers to retain a larger share of earnings.

From July 2025, the system integration will enable TADA bookings to be dispatched directly to BigBoss Taxi drivers via their dedicated app. This planned enhancement aims to streamline ride-matching and improve overall convenience for riders across the city.

As part of the agreement, BigBoss Taxi will offer TADA driver-partners three exclusive rental and employment packages featuring brand-new electric vehicles (EVs) at preferential rates. These include the ION Y Plus Compact SUV EV Taxi at HK$800 per day and the GAC E9 Deluxe VIP Taxi at HK$1,100 per day, alongside cash rewards of up to HK$20,000. The initiatives aim to support drivers in meeting rising demand for comfortable and sustainable transport options.

In Hong Kong, TADA has concurrently developed alliances with financial service provider Mox Bank to integrate bespoke payment solutions and with MoneySmart HK to deliver supplementary passenger benefits including privileged airport transfer arrangements.

Meanwhile, this partnership extends TADA's established pattern of successful cooperation with taxi operators across Asian markets, including existing partnerships with Premier Taxis in Singapore and Howa Taxis in Thailand.

Sean Kim, chief executive officer of TADA, said: “Strategic partnerships with players like BigBoss Taxi are a natural and meaningful next step in our growth strategy for Hong Kong. Local taxi operators are an essential part of Hong Kong’s mobility fabric, and we have experienced firsthand how working closely with taxi companies across different markets, such as Premier Taxis in Singapore and Howa Taxis in Thailand, can uplift service quality and drive sustainable, inclusive growth. We’re excited to bring that same collaborative spirit here.”

Alex Chiu, chief operating officer of BigBoss Taxi, said: “TADA’s driver-first approach, zero-commission model and technology-driven vision are designed to empower riders and uplift the livelihood of drivers. This aligns closely with BigBoss Taxi’s values, and our goals of improving service levels and modernising the taxi ecosystem, while supporting the government’s wider objectives of digital transformation and sustainable urban mobility.”

Don't miss: SG-based TADA taps XGATE to drive expansion in HK

Back in December 2024, TADA tapped digital marketing agency XGATE to drive expansion in Hong Kong. Selected from a competitive pool of agencies, XGATE stood out for its innovative creative and media strategies, coupled with a deep understanding of local market dynamics.

The strategic partnership with BigBoss Taxi represents TADA's latest move in Hong Kong as it works to transform the ride-hailing experience through its unique zero-commission model.

On a similar note, the Big Bee fleet, one of the five newly licensed taxi fleets in Hong Kong, has planned to begin its services in mid-July, with around 200 drivers hired. Big Bee was one of the first batch of 3,500 taxis from five fleets offering premium services which began operating in Hong Kong earlier in March.

The Hong Kong government hopes the Joie, SynCab, Amigo, Big Boss and Big Bee fleets will “bring a new look” to the ride-hailing sector that has faced complaints for poor service and refusal to adopt non-cash payments. To ensure service quality, all fleets must provide online hailing services, customer service hotlines and different electronic communication channels for passengers to select appropriate vehicle types based on their needs, and rate driver services, according to the government.
