In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Swire Coca-Cola Hong Kong will open the newly upgraded Hong Kong Coca-Cola Museum to the public for the first time, hosting three exclusive guided tours on 7 March.
The tours, built around a brand-new "time-travel" concept, will offer interactive experiences centred on the theme "Made in Hong Kong." They are designed to illustrate how the bottler has grown alongside the city for six decades, provide a close-up look at the beverage production process, and outline its vision for a sustainable future.
Through "The bottling hunt" experience, visitors will embark on an immersive journey through Swire Coca-Cola HK’s history. The tour highlights the brand’s integral role in Hong Kong life since 1965, its commitment to local production, and its vision for the future under the sustainability pillar "Our choice, our future!"
Participants will gain insight into long-term commitments to sustainable production and social inclusion through investments in recycled materials, advanced facilities, and community partnerships.
Online registration for the guided tour will open at 2pm on 12 February , allowing the public to form their own groups and explore CocaCola’s Hong Kong story through immersive, interactive experiences designed to connect generations.
Swire Coca-Cola HK will also collaborate with COKE+, The Coca-Cola Company’s loyalty programme, to launch a special redemption scheme. This initiative will allow more members of the public to join the tours and receive exclusive commemorative souvenirs. The museum aims to transform shared memories into a dynamic platform for community, educational, and business exchange, reinforcing the company’s enduring ties with Hong Kong.
With the Lunar New Year approaching, Swire Coca-Cola also unveiled its new Year of the Horse festive cans, with the packaging inspired by Chinese embroidery. Featuring Coca‑Cola bottles, gold ingots and ginkgo leaves arranged in firework motifs, the design symbolises reunion, prosperity and good fortune.
Hunter Jin, SEAHKT operations at Swire Coca-Cola, said: “Since commencing bottling operations in Hong Kong in 1965, Swire Coca-Cola has grown from serving the local market to becoming the fifth‑largest bottling partner globally, reaching more than one-tenth of the global population. For us, Hong Kong is not only our starting point but also the core of innovation and heritage.”
Jin said Swire Coca‑Cola HK will continue to optimise its equipment in 2026 to produce high‑quality beverages, deepen community engagement and build a world‑class bottling business.
Meanwhile, Richard Gould, director and general manager of Swire Coca-Cola HK, noted that the company will continue to advance alongside Hong Kong towards a more sustainable future: “Since October 2025, the plastic bottles used for Swire Coca‑Cola’s locally produced 500ml Coca-Cola beverage and bonaqua mineralised water (1.5 litres or under) are made from locally recycled plastic, realising a bottle‑to‑bottle circular economy: 'locally collected, locally remade'."
He added that the company aims to ensure more than 50% of its packaging uses recycled PET in 2026, reinforcing its leadership in environmental protection and the circular economy. Education will also play a key role, alongside raising public awareness through the museum, Swire Coca-Cola HK will launch “Recycling Academy” sustainability education kits in partnership with The Coca‑Cola Company, bringing recycling concepts into classrooms and communities.
