Holly Brown brews up expansion plans

Holly Brown has expanded its portfolio with a third concept store Caffe À La Mode, at the high-end shopping district The Mira Mall at Tsim Sha Tsui. The store is the brand’s first attempt to offer table service and a dinning environment focusing on afternoon tea set and desserts and builds on its existing lines - Holly Brown Coffee Gelato and Holly Brown Coffee Roasters.Raymond Tsui, founder of Holly Brown, said the move is part of a plan to expand to 18 stores by the end of 2014 and foray to more mature coffee markets like Japan and Taiwan.“Three brands are just enough to cater to different target segments,” Tsui said.“This is a test point for us. We need to build a strong basement in Hong Kong before branching overseas.”“As independent coffee shops are continuously emerging within the past three years, consumers are becoming more mature and demanding on both the products and the cafe environment. We need to uplift our image to cope with the trend,” Tsui said.
